What celebrity do you most often get told you resemble?
Submitted by Leets.
Keira Knightley. Up until just recently, I never really understood why.
But I go to them anyway.
I realized today that I seriously don't touch this thing enough. I'm always updating my LiveJournal, and always forget about my VOX. But even then, I haven't exactly been touching LiveJournal much in the past month or so lately anyway. Even moreso within the past couple of weeks.
Anyway, I decided to make a short Anime Expo post for my VOX friends. 8D This almost seems pointless considering 90% of you already have my LiveJournal added, but whatever. XD
So. I saw a lot of people I hadn't seen in forever that I missed a lot, but didn't get to spend much time with them because a large majority of them were running around with 20 billion different costumes to do shoots for. Even when they weren't busy, I was busy running around going from some movies and performances, to the dance, to drinking like crazy, and just... being completely worn out and collapsing on someone's bed. It was so hot, and I spent 90% of my time walking between the Hyatt and the Westin. Which sucked so much ass. I was sore for the rest of the week after AX ended, heh.
As far as cosplay goes on my list? I brought a lot, but only wore three. Even though I wore three, I only got pictures of two. The one I didn't get pictures in was one that I decided to wear to make myself feel better about missing the Final Fantasy Complete gathering (after hearing there were other FF6 characters, anyway) and walked around in that for a grand total of 20 minutes.
My Friday started out with me wearing this sexy, sexy costume. I woke up around 7, and had to get dressed and stuff by 8-9ish because Anson needed to borrow my car to go pick up his paycheck and deposit it (he's weird like that). Of course, I didn't care because I'd be getting a free full tank of gas out of this. 8D But yeah, I had to show him where I parked my car and lend him my hotel key so he could get out without paying anything. I ended up walking around in März for... a pretty long time, actually. The heat was literally melting me, though. D; I had planned to wear the costume during the SKIN concert, because the Capcom vs. SNK gathering was almost immediately after (assuming everything was on schedule, heh). So, I wandered around the outside of the convention center, constantly getting stopped for pictures, when all I wanted to do was walk over to the Westin to get some food and drinks over from Jesse's room. Sorry, I just can't resist ice cold Asahi. ;o There were only two left anyway, so I took one and then Scott saved the last one for me. :DDD By the time I got over there, it was 10:30 or so, and I just drank fucktons of water and made myself some cup ramen. I was just hanging out in their room for a while until Anson got back.
We thought it'd be more convenient if he just picked me up from the Westin and then parked my car back in the Hyatt parking lot while I was there so I could know where the hell it was when I needed to use it again, and then just walk back to the Westin so I could eat my noodles and he could go to the bank right around the corner. So, after that, Scott, Kevin (as Freddy from Cromartie, also known as Susan), and I went to go meet up with him and Jesse over in the exibit hall for a bit, which is where I ran into Andy and got all these sexy pictures taken. 8D Sooooo, we hung around in there for a bit, then Kevin wandered off somewhere, and the four of us got some food over at Sharky's before heading over to the SKIN concert since seating should've started at 2.
Apparently, that wasn't going to happen on time at all. We ended up standing around in the heat for a good two hours before I decided I was dying too much in März and went back to my room to change, and headed back over to the concert line of faggotry. Thankfully, the line had been moving a lot, and Anson and Jesse were just sitting in the shade while they waited for me, and for the line to get shorter. It didn't really matter if we were in line or not, since we already had assigned seats. We just wanted to get in where the sun wouldn't have to be so gay. Eventually, we got in (after cutting like mad XD) and it sucked a bit more because uh, I was all worn out from the heat, and Anson wasn't feeling too great because he ate too much, ahaha.
So, the concert finally started around 6:30, as opposed to 4:00. What the fuuuuuuck. Whatever. At least I got to see it. It was fun, though Gackt looked way too much like Ren (from Nana), and Yoshiki looked way too much like David Bowie. XDDD It was amazing, hahaha. Jesus, Gackt's facial expressions throughout the entire concert were just... what the fuck. XD I loved it. Miyavi is a dork. And Sugizo needs more love. Like, a lot more love. ;((( I think I got eyeraped a couple times there, too. D: But yeah, I was surprised. They sounded really good together. Now all I need is to see X Japan later this year and I can die happy, haha.
After all of that, Jesse had to leave for Pop Shock Masquerade (lo:lita was playing), and I went back to the Westin with Anson to go be gay with his anime club. I don't know what the fuck Colin was drinking, but jesus. He gave me so much rum, it was amazing. XD I swear, the coke was just for coloring. Eventually, all of us left to go watch Jesse play in his gay band. XD Interesting night.
I think that's probably the most I did in a day all weekend. Saturday, I was so tired and sore that I was just relaxing in my room half the time. I went and saw all 5cm per Second with Anson that night, even though we were supposed to go with Anthony and Devin (who got there really late and we couldn't get seats by them even if we wanted to, so they were forced to sit in the front whereas we happened to find two seats towards the very back, right in the middle :D :D). Symon, Ari, Mary, and Wes were there too (who I was supposed to see it with first! but then those other three fags decided they really wanted to go, too XD), but again, we couldn't sit by them either. I met up with them when the movie/series/whatever ended and Ari and I discussed different ways to go kill ourselves because jesus, that movie was incredibly depressing. I think we were all ready to go throw ourselves off a train. XD It was so good, though. But I didn't cry. I want to own it. ;_;
After that, we were all pretty worn out and retired to our rooms for the night. And then it was Sunday! Another day that involved me waking up at 7ish with very little sleep, like the last few days. In the morning/early afternoon, I put on Relm for a bit and walked around looking for food. I ended up buying some really expensive pizza that came with some really delicious pasta. I think that was the most I ate all weekend, heh. I ended up taking that back to my room having been starving and satisfied at having so many people recognize me in my costume and stop me for pictures (that NEVER happens when I'm in Relm, but apparently FF6 is getting more popular now? hooray! :D). I don't really remember what I did between then and 5:00, so oh well. I changed into Morita for Honey & Clover gayness at the ferris wheel over in the Pike. :D We got some really good shots, but not all of them have been posted yet. This is just one of the preview pictures that Jason put on his LiveJournal. Andy took a lot of pictures too, and I really can't wait to see them all. X3 I've had this costume for over a year now, and I'm finally getting pictures of it. And with an Ayu and a Hagu! :D Stella was nice enough to bring her old Ayu costume, and Julie was nice enough to do a last-minute Hagu for me. :D Apparently, she had always wanted to cosplay Hagu, so she was really excited that she finally got to.
After all of that was done, I changed and headed over to Anson's room to go hang out with his drunk ass + his anime club, and watched some live action Nodame Cantabile. I kept telling them that it's amazing, so I guess Ken decided to bring it and we got a lot of people to watch it and they all seemed to love it like they loved the anime~ Such a good series. It makes the classical geek inside of me so happy.
Uhh, can't really remember what happened after that aside from getting drunk for like, the third night in a row, dancing a bit, aaaand watching Ken and Levi sing the old Harlock opening in karaoke. XD It was pretty awesome. OH YEAH. I finished watching the Hunter x Hunter musical with Kevin and Scott. Hisoka is so amazing, ahaha. (Yeah, we had been watching that entire musical when we had time on Saturday and Sunday night...)
Then there's Monday. Monday was just finishing up the packing I started Sunday night (didn't get back until 4 in the morning or so), and heading over to the Performing Arts Theater to watch Transformers with everyone. Sadly enough, Will didn't get back on time and they wouldn't let him in, so he couldn't see it (even though I swear he was probably looking forward to it more than some of the other people we were in line with). Anson went to go see it with him and Dan a couple days later instead, so yay. :3 But yeahhhh, Transformers was good. Like, really good. That was probably the best thing that happened on Monday. 8D
So yeah, I think that's all the important stuff, ahah. Ahhh, this post is really long. >_> I'm thinking of going to Infirmary tonight, but not sure if I really want to yet. I should see if Dan and Anson are going. If they're there, I'll go. ;_; I want to do somethingggggg.
Again with the industrial. K-pop is still merged into my brain pretty nicely, but I'm always going back to industrial, synth-pop, and EBM. I really have no reason to update this right now, but I'm bored, so I will anyway.
As far as k-pop is concerned, Super Junior put out a new sort of mini-group that consists of 6 members: Super Junior T. The T stands for trot. I love it. XD It is seriouly like crack to my ears. I constantly find myself listening to "로구거!!!" on repeat, or watching the music video over and over again. Added with that, DBSK put out their second Japanese album, which is... pretty amusing. I'm not a big fan of their Japanese works, but "Choosey Lover" is insanely addicting to listen to. The music video doesn't help much either.
And then we have a new face: Magolpy. Her voice is beautiful. I can't stop listening to her debut song, "비행소녀," and watching the music video. It's just too adorable, and that song is just... I don't know how to explain it. I get a total Spitz feel from it, only with a female singer rather than male. And in Korean instead of Japanese. Not much else to say about that, though.
Aside from my music~ I've been watching some new dramas. I just finished Hana Yori Dango 2 the other day, and enjoyed it. I missed that series. :x The first season is still much better, but the second wasn't so bad. I also started the k-drama, Lovers in Paris. I've only watched the first two episodes so far. It's cute.
This is so random, but I just noticed that every paragraph I've written other than this one starts with a word beginning in the letter A. XD
ANYWAY. 8D Games! I haven't been playing them much lately. It seems I've been going back to arcade fighting games lately, due to a certain someone that I spend a lot of time with~ I'll play Guild Wars every now and then, but it's not as fun as it used to be. I don't even touch World of Warcraft, or EverQuest 2. I don't have any FPS that I like playing by myself anymore. It's not fun when I'm not playing with other people, but because of this, I've gotten pretty bad. ;[ UT2004 on expert isn't as easy as it used to be. 8D I really should find a game I can play with other people, just... not right now. I'm being cheap.
Now, I look forward to the Korean Music Festival in May. I have pool circle tickets, in the 6th row. 8D!!!
What's the next country you want to visit?
Submitted by Schomer.
K-O-R-E-A KOREA. Seriously. I'm probably going to do that whole exchange program stuff for Korea first, then Japan after that. But I've already been to Japan and Germany, soooo Korea is next. 8D
So. I noticed that I have a lot of cosplays planned this year... XD And I think the part that amuses me the most is that I only have one anime (manga, actually) outfit that I'm doing, and that's Hunny's volume 4 cover outfit from Ouran High School Host Club. Everything else is... k-pop. XD I've got Jaejoong's TRI-ANGLE to finish, and then I have no idea which version of Balloons I'm doing this year (though I did happen to see the same pink fur that Yoochun has for the PV sitting around at Joann's, which was really tempting to buy). And I still want to do "O"‐正・反・合 cosplay as Jaejoong so I can have his chicken hair. D; I think I'm bleaching it all anyway for Heechul in that performance of Miracle I'm doing. XD Speaking of Heechul, I think I'm doing U (PV version) along with Miracle (purple) and Dancing Out (purple) for AX. Those are what I'm looking forward to, anyway. I think I just really want a Kyuhyun that I can go up to and be like "That's COOL~! 8DDD" though I think I'd do it anyway.
Aside from sorting out cosplay, I've gotten back into Guild Wars after getting Nightfall for Christmas. I've been wanting to get this Vabbian Armor set for my Mesmer. So hot. ;x I've been playing her a lot recently, even more now that a friend of mine decided to invite me into his guild. It seems like I've also gotten a ton of different people into it as well, and now they're all trying to catch up to me so I can play with them, and we're all in the same guild thanks to that same friend. XD They're all playing Factions though, when the armor I want is in Nightfall. Too bad for them. :P Half of them don't even have Prophecies, but whatever. XD
I want to play PvP again, though~ With my mesmer. XD I'd kick ass. :V Cancelling spells and draining energy for myself every so often~ sounds wonderful. XD But ugh, I've got this 10,000xp quest I've been working on that's just insane. :x I love it, though. I have to finish four other
for it, and they're all 8,000xp, buuuut I don't really need experience right now because... I'm already at the cap. XDI also already started saving up for my Ritualist's Obsidian Armor that I swear I will get one day~! ;_; It's too sexy for me not to work for it even though I know it'll take me forever, but jesus, I've already been saving for it since I made her. XD I'm going to be needing twice as much plat as I have now to be able to afford both of those, and a hell of a lot of luck to find the items I need. 8D I want to get the Ancient Armor for her, too, while I wait for Obsidian... but that's also in Nightfall. XD I should probably get her to the mainland and to level 20 first soon, though. ;\ I don't play her enough, but then again, I guess I've only really been playing her when Kai needs help with his lower level factions character. ;x
Other than Guild Wars, I started playing a new Korean music game that isn't O2Jam, and that is Audition. Okay, I won't deny that I started playing this after seeing screencaps of it on Heechul's cyworld, but it looked so fun and I needed something new~ XD My character (zelamir) is all ugly right now, though, 'cause I have yet to buy her any new clothes and stuff. I don't know how to give the crazy koreans my money so I can buy sexies, so I'm just gonna get stuff that doesn't require it but is less sexy. ;x Oh well. At least I can dance to my gay k-pop. 8D I really like it, though. It's fun. >:D Though it does piss me off that there are a billion Heechul/SuJu fangirls playing it so they can stalk him in-game, making it hard for me to get better because people keep leaving rooms when he's not in them and I can't get more experience and shit when I play by myself. >:( Bitches need to stop being crazy and just leave him alone. I just want my shinies. ;[
Aaaand I think that's all I have to say. Long post, I know, but all my posts here are long. I kind of wanted to try putting pictures into my posts as well, sooo there you go. XD PRETTY SCREENCAPS OF MY SHINEY. 8D But yeah, that's all you get for the next month now or whatever because I hardly touch this thing. XD

What's the most drastic change you've ever made to your appearance?
Submitted by Laurie.
It probably doesn't seem like too big of a thing, but the day I chopped off all of my hair was pretty drastic for me. I had been growing my hair out for the past 6 years, and the only thing I ever did besides a simple trim every now and then was dye it a different color. I've had light brown, dark brown, black, red, blone, purple, turquoise, and even a mix of some of those in my hair, but I wouldn't consider them drastic. I chopped off the hair that went past my ass to a length of... a normal boy's? I guess. If you know Ishida from Bleach (and I'm sure those of you that read this know who that is :V), it was cut short like his. I swear, I felt like I just lost 10 pounds that day. XD
Well, it seems as though I've been getting into a lot of games again recently. Specifically ones that I loved years ago and completely forgot about until certain people reminded me of how much fun I had with them.
I'm back in Guild Wars now. I finally got Factions, so my hot Ritualist is out there kicking ass and NOT healing people. I finally decided to do that mission I was stuck on with my Mesmer and passed it on my first try since... before Anime Expo. Now I'm at Ring of Fire, and I failed it twice by myself. I got about 3/4 of the way through on my second try when I died. But hey, that's pretty far for doing it on my own, so I wasn't exactly disappointed about that. I've been avoiding normal groups because I have other friends to play with. I seem to be meeting a lot of people lately that play games like that (or rather, that particular game), which is strange. Some of them, I've already known for a long time, but we never actually talked about any of this until a few months ago, and others until a few weeks ago.
Aside from that, my EverQuest 2 account should be ending in December. I don't really play so much anymore as it is, but I had a lot of good memories with my main character (Ketsurui), and I'll be sad when she's gone. I was planning on just crafting like mad for a bunch of old friends and such, and just giving things away to people I knew that still played, but I've been putting that off for a while.
As far as other games go, I've been wanting to play a game of Rise of Nations again. I forgot how fun that game was, even by myself. I was addicted to it for a while, and I'm surprised that I forgot I even had it still. I never really took the time to play with Thrones & Patriots, but I thought I'd play a game of it soon. Maybe I'll do that on Monday between classes.
I also realized that I haven't played a single first person shooter in a long, long time. I miss those games (PC ones, I suck at console ones). All I have that my computer will let me play is... Unreal Tournament 2004. XD FEAR is kind of difficult. :( I need more RAM and a new video card like mad if I want to play any of the new games that are coming out/have come out. XD Like Company of Heroes. I want to play that so bad, but my computer probably can't handle it. I guess it'll just have to look like shit. XD
I have no idea where this post is going. I just felt like talking about some games I forgot about and have been wanting to play again. And now I am bored and will probably end up watching that episode of Byakuyakou I've been putting off all day. Such a great series...
I never really know what to post with when I update here. I always feel like I should seperate my posts from here and my LiveJournal so that I'm not always talking about the same thing, but I don't really know how I should go about that. All I really know is that a large majority of the time that I do end up posting here, I feel I should talk about music and/or cosplay, but mostly music. I've never been good at making large posts about things like that, but it's always nice to just talk about it once in a while. Oh yes, and games. I don't play enough games anymore for me to include them in my posts, though.
Recently, I've been getting back into my old tastes, as far as music goes. I forgot how incredibly sexy (yes, sexy) E.S. Posthumus is. I've been listening to a lot of that.
Aside from my instrumental+choir type music, I've been listening to a lot of industrial music again. Bands such as VNV Nation, Apoptygma Berzerk, Melotron, and Wolfsheim have taken over my current playlist. It makes me sad that I've basically ignored groups such as them for almost a year now since I discovered Johnny's Entertainment, not to mention the Korean pop groups that followed. Though I still have my Korean and Japanese pop music there, most of it is back to the industrial music that I loved.
Oh, and there is one Japanese industrial group. I guess it's considered J-rock, but they're more the industrial type of J-rock. Schwarz Stein. I don't know what to say about them, but I love them. I've never really been able to get into much J-rock (though I do love the stuff), but Schwarz Stein happens to be one of the few that I love listening to regularly.
There is one other group that I've recently gotten back into. That would be Qntal. If I have any group to be sad about because I've ignored, I would feel the worst about them. I absolutely love Qntal. Their style, their lyrics, the languages; it's amazing. I couldn't possibly describe their style in words. In fact, if anyone is interested, feel free to bug me on AIM and I'll be happy to send some of my favorite songs. Actually, I'll do that with anything I've mentioned. I loved sharing my music with people, though I'd highly recommend Qntal if they haven't heard them and are interested in that style of music.
That's about it for me today, then. I'll probably try updating this more often in the future.
